What I’m up to
right now.

Here are the things I’m currently focused on, in no particular order:

1. Triathlon training.
2022 was the start of my triathlon journey. It began with a couple of olympic tri’s and gave me the hunger to progress, I enjoy the multi discipline activities which mixes up my week and has given me the opportunity to improve my lesser skills (bike and swim). This year will see my first Ironman (70.3) attempt. We are competing in Otillo Swimrun World Series this year – through the scenic Switzerland my partner and I will be clipped together through water and on land as we swim and run 40km.

2. Van life.
I’ve converted another Ford Transit Custom into a camper van and it’s ready for adventure, as are we, my partner & I plus our dog, Inca, who loves a road trip. The weather is improving so most weekends from now we’ll be in the van somewhere in the UK.

3. Reading / Listening.
Current list:
My nose tastes like swimming pools, by my good friend Sam Lightfinch
Never finished, another inspiring read by David Goggins

Recently completed:
Amerzonia: A Savage Journey Through The Americas
Will, by Will Smith (Find a better book!)
Can’t hurt me, David Goggins

4. Business.
This year has started well. I’ve had a couple of nice, larger projects and some work for ongoing clients, working from my new office in Dronfield (avoids the city traffic to Sheffield!). I helped a large agency completely rebuild their website with speed being the main driver. The latest website went live at the start of the year which was a pleasure to work on: texmo.com & geese.co.uk

5. Travelling.
After conquering Kilimanjaro in 2022 this year was going to be difficult to match. We didn’t get away as much as we had liked last year, but this year it changes. With trips to Morocco to climb a mountain, Turkey to enjoy some sun, Switzerland to compete in a swimrun event and our big one – Egypt, Jordan and Isreal!
